The Client
I (Chloe) just finished The Client by John Grisham. It is SUCH a good book! It is about a boy named Mark who experiences a bizzar suicide. His brother witnesses the suicide also but hadn't talked to the man who commited suicide before he died. Because Mark's brother, Ricky, was so little, he went into shock leaving Mark to go through all the trials himself because his mother was with his brother. Mark lies to the police saying he wasn't told anything related to another case where a mafia member murdered a US Senator. When Mark realizes he is in trouble and needs help, he hires a lawyer. Mark ends up in jail because he refused to answer the questions of the juvinile court. Just before Mark is forced to talk he escapes jail and plans with his lawyer how he is going to find out if the body of Boyd Boyette, the senator, is where he was told and go into the witness protection program. When Mark gets to the body's location other mafia members are trying to dig it up. Mark causes a comotion around the neighborhood forcing the mafia members to leave the site. When Mark sees the body is where he thought it was he goes with his lawyer and the FBI and enters the witness protection program with his mother and brother. As soon as Mark and his family were lifted into the air to fly to a good hospital for Ricky the lawyer tells the FBI the location of the senators body. I would highly suggest this book because it is interesting and suspenceful. I wouldn't recommend this book for someone under 12 years of age because it has adult themes and a suicide not suitable for younger children. I hope you decide to read The Client and enjoy it as much as I did.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (#5)
The book Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling is about a young wizard and his efforts to defeat Voldemort when he comes back. First, Harry goes to his god father’s house over the summer holidays and learns that an organization called The Order of the Phoenix was stationed there to help defeat Voldemort. Then, Harry returns to his school, Hogwarts and finds that he must be given extra-high security measures because of Voldemorts desire to kill him. Later, Harry begins to see into Voldemorts mind and saves his best friend’s dad, Arthur from an attack. Of course, Voldemort uses that against Harry and puts the fake image of his godfather being attacked into his mind. There, Harry finds that the Death-Eaters (Voldmort’s supporters) are trying to get a prophecy from Harry. After they had fought for a while, the Oder members came and helped the kids. To Harry’s great remorse, his Godfather died in the end, leaving him no wizard family left.

Twilight

The book Twilight by Stephanie Meyer is about a girl (Bella) and a vampire (Edward) who push aside there differences and fall in love. First, Bella moves to forks and sees a strange family. Then, she falls in love with the youngest, Edward, and she finds out that they are vampires. Later, Bella is hunted by another vampire and is hurt badly during the event. In the end, Edward defeats the part of him that thirsted for Bella's blood and Bella realizes the danger that comes with being in unconditional love with a vampire. I think that the author was trying to tell us how two opposites could attract and fall in love. She shows us how they are opposites when Edward saves Bella from dying out of her own clumsiness twice. She shows us how they attract when they kiss for the first time. I have seen this same trait with dogs and humans. My dog and my dad are huge opposites but, they love each other so much!
